Good Evening. I'm Allison McNair. Welcome to a special edition of New Hampshire Outlook. Tonight we're talking Money. Our guests today say the Thanksgiving holiday weekend is a great time to talk about family money matters. Because most of the time we don't talk about financial details until it's too late. Joining me now in the studio are Brad French and Fred Forman. Brad is a Financial Planner from New England Advisory Group of Portsmouth and Londonderry. Fred is an Estate Planning Attorney from Forman and Bernier with offices in New Hamsphire, Maine and Massachusetts. You probably have heard them both on the radio. They're the hosts of the daily New England radio talk show "Money Matters." Thanks for being with us gentlemen. |

It seems as though all of the things we're going to talk about today are taboo. Death, taxes, inheritance. money. How do we begin the coversation? What are some of the opening lines we can use? Inheritance is a big concern for a lot of people. What about giving money away? There are limits. Planning for retirement is a big issue with young and old alike. How should we organize our portfolios. Now. something none of us really wants to think about, but something we'll probably have to deal with whether for ourselves, a spouse, our parents or children. Long-Term Care. Are there any common mistakes people make in financial planning? Now for some final thoughts. how should we go about finding a financial advisor? |

One way to avoid paying taxes is to give some of your money away. That's what dozens of New Hampshire Charities and non-profit organizations are hoping you'll do this holiday and all year round. Most need money, but others will accept donations of supplies. Here's a wish list and contact information for some of our many helping agencies. |
