With home heating costs on the rise this winter, you might be thinking about ways to help supplement your source of heat. Maybe you're thinking about buying a space heater or already have one. In either case, you'll want to take some safety precautions.

If the cold weather has you spending a lot of time indoors this winter, you may think about reading.
A good place to start looking is the December issue of Yankee Magazine which has published a list of the 100 Classic New England Children's Books.
They're books for children of all ages. Set in New England, many in New Hampshire, the books are also written and illustrated by local authors.
Some third and fourth graders from the Center Strafford school in Strafford recently read their favorite selections.
