As we look back at the year's events, we thought we'd take some time to focus on the economy.
Even though the experts didn't make the announcement until late fall - in March - the U-S economy officially went into a recession. On September 11th, the terrorist attacks struck the major nerve center of the financial markets - the World Trade Center. Wall street closed for three days. And the already troubled airline industry went to capitol hill to get some assistance with a federal bailout. Unemployment numbers were up - as layoffs seemed to become the norm of business news. And retailers braced for a dismal holiday shopping season.
So what was the economic picture here in New Hampshire? And can we make any predictions as to what might be ahead in 2002. Joining me to talk about it.Ross Gittell, Faye Doria and Tom Sedoric.
