It's a picturesque place, south of North Conway. The calendar women are all residents here and range in ages from one to eighty-one. Roberta clip - "You have to feel good about yourself to do this.I felt good about myself after doing it. Actually, I've always thought I was pretty good." narr - Ellen works at The Other Store in Tamworth. It's a place in the middle of town where people like to get together. Ellen clip - "I have noticed that when people come into the store now they smile.and that's what it's all about-- laughter. That is the reward for me. I'd take my clothes off anytime if it meant that people would smile." narr - In chosing their pose for the calendar, most of the women incorporated a strategically placed prop representing their passions. Ellen was photographed outdoors at her easel. Ellen clip - "And my back was to traffic. The cars going by could see just my back. I happened to notice that the cars were moving slower that day. I can still slow down traffic." Roberta clip - "I didn't really like my picture at first. But then I saw it in a different light and thought that is really nice." shot of Jeannie sawing Jeannie clip - "I had no hesitation. I didn't think it would go any further than Tamworth." shot of Jeannie on ladder dissolve to calendar photo on ladder narr - Jeannie Chester posed for the month of May. This could happen in a small town anywhere." shots of calendar Roberta and Ellen clip - "Tamworth is that type of community. We care about each other here. We atke care of each other here." dissolve to shots at book store Margo clip - "Personally, I've learned a lot about my neighbors by doing this calendar.
