TR 1: Days after the Old Man fell, Retired School Teacher Louise Clements began penning a children's tale…in tribute to the great stone face.

TR 2: Clements wanted to write a story that would be a catalyst for children's questions.

They were very disappointed when he collapsed and decided to go anyway to say goodbye to him…that's of course where we got the story.old man goodbye. 1:03:10
TR4: Clements hopes to bring her book into the classroom - allowing
teachers to incorporate the Old Man of the Mountain into the curriculum.
TRT8: Clements says it was Nature that created the granite profile, and nature that took him away. The book is about enjoying the simple things in Life and remembering the Old Man of the Mountain.
