The State House is where we begin. It was the location for a big "Support Our Troops" Rally that took place just before we began taping this program.
There was a large turnout as citizens and soldiers gathered to honor the armed forces and reserves. There was also recognition of the support groups who make life easier for the families of those now in active service.

Q KEVIN: I Know you were there. What were your impressions?
Q JEFF/DAN: Any thoughts?
script iconPeter Heed
Return to index of stories...
The Peter Heed story continued to make HEADLINES as the
attorney general pulled an "about-face" saying he wanted to "take-back" his resignation. Accused of inappropriate behavior at a conference last month -- Heed said he may have been hasty in resigning --and asked the executive council to hold off on accepting his resignation until an investigation into the incident was completed.
But -- that was NOT to be.

TAG:
The Council voted 3-to-2 to accept HEED's resignation.
Q KEVIN: It seemed to be a packed room. John Stephen was there -- In your article in the Telegraph you say it WASN"T the Governor who convinced Heed to resign but Safety Commissioner Dick Flynn. How did that come about -- GIVE us the inside scoop?

Craig Benson held the "Governor's Initiative Award" Reception this past Thursday.
The awards are part of an incentive program --which rewards state employees who've gone above and beyond the call of duty. Each got a check, a governor's
award pin and a certificate which detailed what each had done.

Q KEVIN/ DAN: For any employee --a monetary bonus is WELCOMED. Will this have any impact on the Governor's ROCKY relationship with state employees?
script iconFree Staters
Return to index of stories...
The Governor will address the FREE STATE PROJECT tonight in Plymouth. That's the libertarian group that believes in minimal government. This weekend they're holding what they call a "Porcupine Freedom Fest" in Lancaster to show NH "who" they are and why they're migrating to the free state of NH.
Q JAMES: Isn't it unusual that a Republican Governor would address a group that is looking to disrupt government in NH?
script iconLynch
Return to index of stories...
Let's talk about the Governor's Race. Democrats John Lynch and Paul McEachern
are hoping to UNSEAT the Governor. John Lynch traveling all over the state
this week --
Q James: You were with him WHERE Today?
script iconbush cheney ad
Return to index of stories...
Onto NATIONAL politics:
The Bush Cheney '04 campaign launched a new web video the other day titled
"Kerry's Coalition of the Wild-eyed." Let's take a look:
Q JAMES: Kerry, Hitler and Micheal Moore in the same AD-- What's going on?
script iconClinton Book
Return to index of stories...
Former President Clinton's memoir --is racking up RECORD sales.
It's his life -- and a lot of people want to read about it.
The book "My Life" sold 400-thousand copies on the first day -- eclipsing
the previous high --set by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's memoir.
At book stores in NY -- the former president got a rock star welcome --hundred camped out for a chance to get a signed copy of Mr Clinton's autobiography.
Critics haven't been KIND to it, they describe it as BORING and self-serving.
Q So, is it on your MUST READ list this summer?
script iconGoodnight
