Professor Elizabeth Ossoff, the Research Center Coordinator at the NH Institute of Politics at St Anselm's College decided to delve further into this political parody phenomenon.

Return to index of stories... 		There's an interesting aside regarding the JibJab-dot-com parody. The music publisher that owns the copyright to Woody Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land" song says the creation threatens to corrupt the music classic.
As for the creators behind Jibjab -- they describe their work as satire and political parody --and as such, say it should be exempt from
any copyright rules.

Such is the case at the Kearsarge Arts Theatre Company in North Sutton, where "Mail To The Chief" -- a musical with a presidential message -- was recently performed.

We began taping at 5:30 -- a bit later than normal because we had to pre-tape a discussion for Thursday earlier in the day. The show was going along okay until we noticed a factual error in the reporter tracked pkg. That reporter is off this week so we had to do our own fix-up of the piece. It's not what we would have hoped for. but the viewer would never notice the change and it was then factually correct. We also had trouble with the credit tape running out before we got everything in. We finally finished recording just after 6:30pm.
