Hello. I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to New Hampshire Outlook. In the 2000 Presidential election Independent candidate Ralph Nader received 22-thousand votes in New Hampshire. George W. Bush won the state by only 7-thousand votes - and with it, the presidency. With national polls showing President Bush and Senator John Kerry in a near-tie, many Democrats fear that Ralph Nader could take enough votes to tilt the election to the Republicans. But Nader rejects that argument and recently campaigned in New Hampshire to make his case. Richard Ager sat down with Ralph Nader - and, here's some of what he had to say. |

The presidential candidates have outlined their own plans for dealing with the issue -- but, how do voters feel? New Hampshire Outlook has equipped 6 voters from around the state with video cameras and web cameras to get their views. Here's what THEY think needs to be done to address the rising costs of health care. |

In July, the president of Verizon here in New Hampshire moved on to a new position within the company in Washington. Concerns over homeland security brought Mike Hickey to the nation's capitol. The well-known New Hampshire native is now vice president in charge of national security affairs for Verizon. It's been 3 months since he took the post. Christine Kelly from our Boston University Washington Bureau sat down with Mike Hickey to find out how he's doing. |
