Hello/Intro RussiansReturn to index of stories... |
Hello. I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to New Hampshire Outlook. A few weeks after President Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged greater cooperation between the United States and Russia, a high level Russian delegation came to New Hampshire to pursue that goal. During their visit in March, the Russian officials exchanged views and advice on emergency preparedness and homeland security. Producer Richard Ager spent two days with the group and reports on their visits to the statehouse, the New Castle coast guard station --and the Seabrook nuclear power plant. |

The Russian delegation spent the final two days of their visit in Washington meeting with federal officials. Both sides will meet again in Russia to sign a two-year agreement of cooperation. |

As you saw in our report, one of the agencies the Russian delegation visited was the Portsmouth Harbor Coast Guard station. The station is part of the Coast Guard's marine safety office for northern New England which has its headquarters in Portland, Maine. Richard Ager spent a day with the servicemen and women at the Portsmouth Harbor Station which is located in New Castle, and found their mission has greatly changed over the past few years. |

Post Show LogReturn to index of stories... |
Wednesday, March 23, 2005 We pretaped this show early because Beth needed to leave by 4:30pm to attend a station event with Peter. We had to stop a couple of times off the top but we finished on time by 4:30pm. Richard's Russian pkg had a couple of hits on the tape. We think it was the record tape. DIRECTOR LOG: Drew was the AD alone for the first time and we had no knowledge of that. We also had to get the show done by 4:30 because Beth had to leave. Richard had two pkgs in the show that were both finished day of air. The AVID went down twice during my edit because Richard knocked over the hard drive thing by accident. Though, Chip helped out by dumping out Adam's piece. Unfortunately that story had many hits on it. It was dumped from AVID 1 and aired from VTR 14 on OL 160. Need to look into that further. We had only a floor director that was the camera person. Unfortunately, Jessica does not usually floor direct and do camera so she was a little sloppy with the camera off the top. And since Beth and Kim were very anxious to start, I kept the not so perfect zoom in. We also had bad audio from VT 16 off the top again. It is the mixer…I believe. Put in graphic at the end…worked better that way. |
