Hello. I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to New Hampshire Outlook. We begin with what's up in the New Hampshire Skies. This month we cover the discovery of two extra solar planets and more as Chip Neal makes his monthly visit with John Gianforte -- an astronomy instructor with the College for Life Long Learning and co-founder of the Astronomical Society of Northern New England. Gianforte spoke with Chip at the Christa MacAuliffe Planetarium in Concord. |

The deadline for sending in your 2004 tax returns is fast approaching. The I-R-S predicts the average tax return is up this year more than six-percent from 2-thousand,151 dollars in 2004 to 2-thousand-294 dollars in 2005. The I-R-S is trying to get the word out about the Earned Income Tax Credit to make sure those eligible make the claim. The government has released a Public Service Annoucement on the Earned Income Tax Credit to let taxpayers know they may be eligible for what amounts to "free money." I sat down with Kathleen Flynn from the I-R-S to get some answers. |

Don't forget taxes are due a week from Friday -- April 15th. The I-R-S says e-filed tax returns are on the rise. This year, for the first time, they expect more than half of all individual tax returns will be filed electronically. |

Tuesday, April 5, 2005: Tonight's show was all tape and ready to go early. So we started taping just after 4:15pm. We had to stop and fix an audio problem at the end of Chip's pkg. We had to stop again because Beth didn't stop for a sound bite. We had to fix the end a bit. We finished everything by 5pm. Director's Log: Charlene did a nice job getting the graphics done with me. There were a lot of them. When we had to stop for Chip's piece, it was because his track moved from track 2 to track 1. I talked to Carl and Chip about how to make them more consistent in the future. Also, Greg fixed the shadow that was on Beth's face during the conversation portion of our show. We will really get a true feel when we have actual guests on set. Everything else went fine. Except I somehow hit a key at the end of the show that somehow it put it in as a half dissolve.I don't know how that could happen but it did. two crew members were not there today. Maria has pink eye. And Caroline had to do lots of homework and couldn't make it in. She did email me and Greg. |
