The PBS program Reading Rainbow is not sponsoring the contest this year. However, New Hampshire Public Television is running this year's contest as a special project. The contest runs now through March 24th and is open to children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. A New Hampshire filmmaker and UNH grad, is trying to establish a regional film-making model that would support local film-makers. Bill Millios is trying to make his new film "Dangerous Crosswinds" the first example of a regional feature film that makes money. Outlook's Chip Neal spoke with him at his home edit room in New Boston back in 2004 before the film was finished. |

"Dangerous Crosswinds" has had a successful eight month run of screenings throughtout New England. The final regional screening of the film came Thursday night at the Palace Theatre in Manchester-- the same venue where it had its world premiere. |

Some have worked for years with the same group of friends and neighbors. For about 15 years, owners Ernie and Bobbie Pratt have been selling hand-made puzzles to customers in New England and around the country -- in part to make some extra money during retirement. Photojournalist Steve Giordani introduces us to them at their home workshop in Wolfeboro. |
