Intro Dean KamenReturn to index of stories... |
Hello. I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to New Hampshire Outlook. Dean Kamen has a passion for invention and some day he could rank up there with those who've revolutionized the way we live. He's a true NH Original. Outlook's Ally McNair spent time with Kamen at his company in Manchester where he talked about his work and what drives him to develop new technologies like the Segway Human Transporter. |
Intro Water/KamenReturn to index of stories... |
Dean Kamen has been very busy since we last caught up with him. His latest project involves a portable water purifier --that could bring clean water to millions in 3rd world countries. The device weighs about 100 pounds -- requires little maintenance -- and, if mass produced could cost as little as 1-thousand dollars a unit. Kamen -- who hopes to field test it sometime this Spring -- gave me a peak. |
