Hello, I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to NH Outlook. These days if you're thinking about an election in New Hampshire it's most likely the race for the White House. But next year, Granite Staters will also cast ballots for a Senate seat and it could be a re-match from 2002. Former New Hampshire Governor Jeanne Shaheen declared last week she will run for the Democratic nomination and the right to challenge Senator Sununu next year. Shaheen lost a tightly contested race to Sununu five years ago and since then many Democratics have urged her to try again. Outlook's Richard Ager has more on Shaheen's annoucement from her home in Madbury. |

Hosseini is the author of "The Kite Runner" and most recently he released "A Thousand Splendid Suns." Hosseini's tour to promote his latest book brought him to Dover last spring and Outlook's Phil Vaughn spoke to him about his novels and his native Afghanistan. |
