Hello, I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to New Hampshire Outlook.
In this program we'll take an in-depth look at two candidates running in the New Hampshire primary.
We begin with Republican Mike Huckabee.
The former Arkansas governor has seen a surge in recent polls.
Outlook's Richard Ager continues our candidate profile series with this report on the former Baptist minister who wants to be the next president.

Huckabee was first elected governor in 19-96.
When he left office in January he went on a nationwide tour to promote his fifth book.

We introduce you to Congressman and presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.

Democratic Presidential contender Dennis Kucinich is trying for a second time for his party's nomination.
He has had an up and down career in politics.
At 31, he became the youngest mayor ever elected in Cleveland, Ohio.
But city finances were troubled and Kucinich was not re-elected.
He was largely out of politics for nearly 20 years until 19-96 when he was elected to Congress.
Outlook's Richard Ager has this more on the man and his message for voters.

September 17-th is "Constitution Day" in the classroom.
That's when students across the country learn about American history and the signing of the Constitution.
In New Hampshire to go along with the day the state Supreme Court and local newspapers sponsor an essay contest for students.
This year they were challenged to write about whether the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution should apply to schools.
Outlook's Phil Vaughn shows us what the project is all about.
