Hello, I'm Beth Carroll. While the frontrunners in the 2008 presidential race fight for dollars and support second tier candidates struggle for media attention and political survival. Conservative Republicans such as Senator Fred Thompson and Congressman Duncan Hunter have done little in the way of campaigning here in New Hampshire. So, how do they expect to make their case and be heard? Outlook's Phil Vaughn went in search of some answers. |

By some accounts, it costs each party about a half-a-billion dollars of campaign money to get their candidate to the White House. Some candidates will raise more than one hundred million dollars just to get through the New Hampshire Primary. So how does a national campaign for Alaska Senator Mike Gravel operate on a small fraction of that money? Outlook's Phil Vaughn has that story. |

Democratic Presidential contender Dennis Kucinich is trying for a second time for his party's nomination. At 31, he became the youngest mayor ever elected in Cleveland, Ohio, but amid troubled city finances Kucinich was not re-elected. He was largely out of politics for nearly 20 years until 19-96 when he was elected to Congress. Outlook's Richard Ager has this more on the man and his message. |
