Hello/Intro Shea-PortReturn to index of stories... |
Hello, I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to NH Outlook. We're here at the NH Political Library in Concord for a conversation with 1st district Congressman Carol Shea-Porter, now serving her first term in Congress. The Rochester democrat was elected in 2006, riding a wave of voter discontent with President Bush and the war in Iraq. She's the first woman from New Hampshire to win national office and the first "democrat" to take that seat in more than two decades, This is our last in a series of conversations with New Hampshire's Congressional delegation in an effort to bring you their perspectives on key issues facing the country. Congresswoman Shea-Porter, Welcome. |
