We're coming to you from the StateHouse in Concord where Governor John Lynch has just concluded his budget address for the next biennium.
During his speech before a joint session of the Legislature, the Governor outlined the proposed spending cuts needed to balance a budget hit hard by massive losses in state revenue.
We'll get reaction to Lynch’s 2-year "belt-tightening" budget in a moment, but first, some highlights of what the governor proposed.

The Governor's Budget Address Thursday coincided with the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth.
To commemorate the event, Steve Wood of Claremont, a Lincoln interpretor and member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters.recited a familiar address before a
joint convention of the House and Senate.

The NH Historical Society has put together a Lincoln exhibit at the Amos Tuck Library highlighting President Lincoln's relationship with NH.
Other bicentennial activities and events will be held over the next year.
