Finally on this program we wanted to update you on a story we have been following over the years - the Lighthouse Kids. In 2000, teacher Susan Reynolds recruited a group of North Hampton 7th graders in an effort to save the White Island Lighthouse on the Isles of Shoals. We caught up with them a number of times as they worked to raise money for the cause, and broadcast this report in 2005.

Since our broadcast of that story, Susan Reynolds has retired but her legacy lives on with more schools in the area creating Chapters to help restore the White Island lighthouse. We caught with her recently to ask how the restoration is going.
