Hello. I'm Richard Ager. Welcome to a special edition of NH Outlook. Our topic: the life and legacy of the nation's 105th surpreme court justice, David Hackett Souter. We are in the David Souter conference room of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. This room is where the justices gather to assign and discuss cases, and prepare for court sessions. On July 9, 2008, it was formally named for Justice Souter, who used this room for 7 years, in recognition of his service to his country and state. We'll talk about that service in a moment with some who know him best, but first, here's a look at David Souter's life in the law. Our guest are Tom Rath, who served with David Souter when he was NH Attorney-General, Bill Glahn, an attornery and long-time friend, and Susan Leahy, an attorney and fellow member of the NH Supreme Court Society. |
