Hello. I'm Richard Ager. Welcome to our reporters roundtable edition of NH Outlook. This week: can state revenues restore some of the cuts? Will pension reform lead to mass retirements of public workers? Will a nickel off a gallon of gas made a difference? But first, the Donald returns to New Hampshire.
VO:
It was the media event of the week as Donald Trump arrived in his black helicopter to face national and local media and make an announcement.
SOTS:
Bite: 9;27:30 Good morning. Today, I am very proud of myself because I've accomplished something that no one else has been able to accomplish. I was just informed, while on the helicopter, that our President has finally released a birth certificate. I want to look at it but I hope it's true. So that we can get on to much more important matters. 9;27:59
9:28:40 Now we can talk about oil, now we can talk about gas prices, we can talk about China ripping off this country, we can talk about OPEC doing numbers on us like no one has done before. We can get to issues and hopefully when I sit down for interviews, people don't start talking about birth certificate, birth certificate like they've been doing.
JOINING ME AT THE STATE LIBRARY IN CONCORD ARE:
JOSH ROGERS FROM NH PUBLIC RADIO AND
KEVIN LANDRIGAN OF THE NASHUA TELEGRAPH.

9:53:20-9:54:06 "I think I have the temperament, I really do. I think I have the temperament I think what I would do is make this country rich again. If I decide to run and that's a big decision for me, including the fact, frankly, that I would have to give up one of the most successful shows on television, with is a lot of money and a lot of prestige and a lot of power, ya know, it's very cool being a television star. It's very cool and I'd have to give that up and I'd have to give a lot of other things up, but I would make if I ran and won I would make this country rich again, I would make this country powerful again and I would make this country respected again and maybe that last point is the most important. I would make this country respected again."

Bite: Revenue Estimates Disk: 14:26:27 Vice-Chair Ways and Means Cmte. We are moving forward and once these numbers are trued up, they will indicate that we did take in more money than we did the previous year. That's the plus. We're going to look at the lapses that are occurring - the lapses - that's the money not spent in fiscal year '10 and fiscal year '11. In fiscal year '10, there were significant lapses. If those lapses were significant in '11, then you have a pretty good balance to work from. But the jury is still out. In May and June, you're going to get some more money. The question is: is it going to be enough?
